PROTOCOL OFFICE FOR OFFICIAL OCCASIONS

 
The main functions of this department are as follows: facilitate formal occasions, analyze the foreign policy of the Parliament, treaties and other international acts, prepare information and analytical papers on international cooperation.
 
OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE OFFICE
 
The Protocol Office is responsible for:
  • Protocol support for official visits of the delegations, meetings and conversations of members of official delegations with the Speaker of the Parliament, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, the Special Envoy of the Parliament for inter-parliamentary contacts;
  • Protocol support on events, including exit ones, held with participation or on instruction of the Speaker of the Parliament;
  • Drawing up monthly calendars of important dates and events in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and foreign states; drafting congratulatory telegrams on behalf of the Speaker of the Parliament on national holidays and other commemorative dates;
  • The analysis of the foreign policy activity of the Parliament, contracts and other international acts, informational support on formal and informal meetings within the framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation, preparation of information-analytical papers on international cooperation;
  • Consideration of reports and information of the committees (commissions) of the Parliament, the heads of the republican executive power bodies on foreign policy and international cooperation issues;
  • Drafting addresses, statements, declarations, reports of the Parliament of PMR, highlighting the position of the Parliament on common or separate issues of the foreign policy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, and also on international relations;
  • Drafting annual cooperation programs of the Parliament of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic with foreign parliaments taking into consideration the opinions of committees, commissions, MPs’ groups and factions within the Parliament;
  • Implementation of orders of the Speaker of the Parliament within the remit of the Office;
  • Keeping and storing of the specialized literature, normative and other legal acts.
